Progress

underneath the 20" of top soil there is poor quality chalky soil which is great for drainage so i dug a couple of small ditches around the front part of the decking and filled them with agragate
Also to note that there is a slight decline from the house at just under 10 ml for drainage

The natural wood back panels come completely away for garden storage
E.g. plant pots, garden hose and easy access to kitchen drainage,
Not to mention that the outside tap is situated on the wall

These holes at the top of the seating area have a thick membraine that later was filled with compost and plants of choise (in this case lavender was prefered)


The main areas of interest is the double beam at the front to give extra strength and durability were you will be stepping of onto the proposed path as the back yard is the main throughway.



On the second day in the flag stones were removed and the ground preparation was done so all that was left was to lay the beams on the ground to get a good idea were everything would be going
